You
Put me off.
Delayed me
long enough.
Procrastinated and dragged your feet
long enough.
Five and a half months
of
A V O I D I N G
just because you
don’t want to hear it,
whatever it is.
You
put me off
No More.
For Saturday
with Him,
you face the music.
You put me
off-off-off
but perhaps,
just maybe,
very likely,
when you listen
the music will
enchant…

Such sternness at the beginning, but then tenderness at the end. I hope your resolution will be what you want.

It’s just a blood test, right? How long can I put this off, right? What’s the worst that could happen, I have diabetes, high cholesterol and a poorly functioning thyroid again? 🙂

I did; that’s the reason for the poem!

Please, no more procrastinating! Keeping tabs on our health is very, very important. Take it from one who knows. Take Elsie’s advice 😉

I love reading your poems, Maribeth. You have a way of engaging my interest and then surprising with a twist at the end. I love the skinny lines of this poem.

Very creative, Maribeth. And I love the cartoons. I hope the results were good.

So creative. Isn’t it funny how we procrastinate stuff like this?

Putting a voice to this somehow makes it more tolerable. Glad you are taking care if you. Me, this summer.

Yikes! I hate doctors and am always putting off these kinds of things. Glad you took care of it.
